This school has everything you could want in a new career education organization: its affordable, its convenient and they do a FANTASTIC job of preparing you for the state exam! I attended Fortune for their prelicensing course and I had an excellent experience. My instructor, Kent Strobel, was knowledgeable, interesting and very willing to take the extra time with all of his students to make sure they understood the material. I passed my exam on the first try and I am thrilled to be starting a new career in Real Estate. I can recommend this school highly to anyone interested in getting into Real Estate! I know they have locations all over the state (I believe their website lists them all with the courses in each location) and I can attest that the facility in Myrtle Beach is very nice, its actually in the Association of Realtors building. Thank you, Fortune, for getting me started the RIGHT way in a new career!

7 hours of instructor reading directly from the book! Class time is 8:30-5:30 with hourly 10 minute breaks and an hour for lunch. Information thats read to you is dense and you have a short period of time before taking the test. Mentally exhausted when you get home and then you have to do it again! I would not recommend this course. Study online, its cheaper and in a more conducive learning environment

The equipment is old, the instructors are lame, the classroom is small and cramped, the tests are tricky, the instructors portray their political bias, and if you miss any days of class you pay $25 a day. Oh. They are also one if not the most expensive school in Charleston, SC.

Only 3 stars because of the text book, it is poorly written and confusing. There are numerous errors in the reading material that are in fact known by Fortune Academy albeit they wont spend the money to revise their own book… My teacher even said, Dont study the glossary as it will just confuse you. That alone is a big deal to me. As you can imagine studying for a state exam with weak reference material is tougher than it has to be. Fortune Academy Im calling you out – revise your book and stop being cheap.

Fortune called to cancel a class 2-3 days before beginning on 11/19. They said the Instructor was sick. When I spoke to them about a refund they said they would process but I should call Horry-Georgetown Tech just to be sure. So, I called HGT and they said the class was cancelled because there was only 7 people registered. Someones not telling the truth. Anyway, its 11/28/16 and my refund still has not been processed.
